Mapi Pharma focuses its activities on pharmaceutical intermediates, APIs and formulations for development of new patentable processes of APIs production and formulations. Mapi is applying several product launch methods with unique patents, processes and improved production routes, in order to compete with the leading generic manufacturers and to be the first generic in the market for some of the products.
Mapi was formed by Ehud Marom, a serial entrepreneur with over 30 years of organic chemistry experience in production, development, regulatory as well as general management experience. Mr. Marom has gathered a group of selected talented individuals in order to complete a multidisciplinary team that can build a strong business case. Although just in its first years of operations, Mapi has already an in-house team totaling several hundred man-years of experience in the intermediates, generic API, and formulations pharmaceuticals market.
This experience provides Mapi with a clear understanding of the pharmaceuticals manufacturers’ needs (regulatory, quality, FDA approvals, GMP standards, traceability, stock levels, service levels and standards), which is what the large pharmaceutical manufacturers require in order to establish long-term supply relationships.
